HIGHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING AWARDS COUNCIL, HETAC
The Higher Education and Training Awards Council (HETAC) was established by the Government in June 2001, under the Qualifications (Education and Training) Act 1999. HETAC is the qualifications awarding body for third-level educational institutions outside of the university sector. It is the legal successor to the National Council for Educational Awards (NCEA). HETAC’s remit includes the validation of programmes, setting and monitoring standards and Quality Assurance in higher education and training. It is also charged with ensuring that student assessment procedures within institutions are fair and consistent, and ensuring academic and financial protection for students in commercial educational institutions providing programmes validated by HETAC. The Institute of Business & Technology is a FETAC Registered Provider. FETAC is the national awarding body for further education and training in Ireland. ADVISORY COUNCIL FOR ENGLISH LANGAUGE, ACELS
The Advisory Council for English Language Schools (ACELS) was established to control standards in EFL schools and organisations through an inspection/recognition scheme. ACELS administers the scheme which leads to School Recognition by the Department of Education & Science. ASSOCIATION OF CHARTERED CERTIFIED ACCOUNTANTS, ACCA

ACCOUNTING TECHNICIANS IN IRELAND, IATI
Accounting Technicians Ireland has become the leading accounting technician body in Ireland. This qualification is recognised worldwide and substantial exemptions are offered to graduates of this course with the senior accounting bodies. The ATI qualification is awarded by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

INTERNATIONAL THERAPEUTIC EXAMINATION COUNCIL, ITEC
ITEC is the largest international examination board offering a variety of qualifications worldwide. ITEC provides 17 qualifications that are UK government accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, on behalf of the Department for Education and Skills. ITEC qualifications are supported by industry and are easily transportable nationally and internationally. The ITEC system is expressed in units allowing students to study at their own pace. Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification is the only Microsoft Office certification recognised by businesses of all kinds. FETAC (Further Education and Training Awards Council) has accredited the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) units on the National Framework of Qualifications of Ireland (NFQ). MOS at Core Level is comparable in standard to awards at Level 4 on the NFQ.
