Diploma in Holistic Massage Course - ITEC

Duration: 24 weeks - Starting: March 2010 - Fee: €1850 - Course Code: DIPST1P - Award: ITEC

What is Holistic Massage?

Holistic massage is a form of massage which deals with you as a 'whole'. It is not just looking to treat the symptoms, but to establish the cause, whether it be internal or external. The aim is to rebalance the body so it achieves homeostasis or balance.

By treating the whole person it aims to relax the muscles, calm the emotions, improve the circulation, recharge the body's immune system, refresh the spirit, balance the life forces and, thus, heal the patient's “disease”. This is achieved by the use of relaxation techniques, the playing of calming music, the employment, where necessary, of essential oils, and, most importantly, listening carefully to the client and attending to his or her needs in a holistic manner.
