Why Cloud Computing Essentials For Business?

The accepted definition of cloud computing is “a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction.” Since its introduction in the mid-2000s, cloud computing has been a game-changer in how IT supports business functions.  It is becoming the default options for many business applications.

Gartner predicts that half of global enterprises using the cloud now will have gone all-in on it by 2021 (Gartner.com  https://www.gartner.com/smarterwithgartner/cloud-computing-enters-its-second-decade/).

It is important that any business person using technology in their workplace understands cloud computing. It is particularly important that business managers involved in any aspect of its deployment have a thorough understanding of cloud computing.
