Course Overview

IBAT College in partnership with the London Academy of Trading (LAT) are offering this one-week beginner’s guide to financial markets and trading.

This online trading course is great for those who have an interest in trading and want to take the first step in the financial markets.


From day one, our expert tutors will guide you through the world of trading, starting from the bottom up by first looking into a day in the life of a trader. You’ll then gain a broad overview of fundamental and technical analysis as well as evaluating macro-economic data releases.

Other key areas include trading psychology and the effect it has on performance. You’ll learn to analyse different assets, including forex, crypto, equities and commodities whilst being encouraged to trade real-time markets with the help of our experienced mentors.

LAT courses are taught by experienced traders and analysts, providing students with first-hand industry knowledge which will be vital in helping you to learn how to trade successfully.

After graduating from Reading University, Paddy traded Japanese Warrants & Convertible Bonds before joining TraderMade, providing financial software and data to global banks. Since 2006 he has provided analysis and education for several financial institutions including HSBC, CALYON, Morgan Stanley, Nordea Markets, LIFFE and LSE.
