Professional Courses - Graduate Networking Event.
On Thursday January 26th we celebrated the achievements of our 243 part-time Diploma graduates who all completed Professional evening courses in the most recent semester with a networking event in the College. Courses ranged from Supervisory Management and Project Management, Digital Marketing and Event Management to Mobile App Development and Cyber Security. These programmes have all been developed to meet current industry skill needs and are taught by industry practitioners who are currently working in their field of expertise.
Our guest speaker for the networking evening was John Lyons, Consultant, Talent Solutions with LinkedIn, who gave an engaging presentation on how LinkedIn can help you professionally. Not just during your job search, but also in strengthening your professional reputation and growing your reach. This can be done by discovering content that matters to you, building your knowledge; obtaining endorsements and being ‘known for what you know’.
Professional development is essential in the labour market as companies are continuously evolving, updating and changing. It is now imperative any workforce has the skills and knowledge required to effectively execute their roles.
