IBAT College currently has vacancies for qualified trainers/lecturers to deliver classes on its Diploma in Project Management programme.

The Project Management trainers/lecturers will be required to deliver these programmes on a part-time within a classroom environment.

The Professional programme requires the lecturer/trainer to teach applied Project Management based on the Project Management Institute (PMI)®  standard, PMBoK, that meets the per-requisites for sitting the Project Management Professional (PMP)® exam, as such, candidates must also be certified by the Project Management Professional (PMP)® and also have work experience as a project manager.

Lecturing/Training Duties include:

  • Deliver classes and workshops prepare students for Project Management professional certification and/or Postgraduate certification.
  • Responsibilities include using and adopting pre-approved course material and supports for classroom delivery.
  • Assessment moderation and final marking of assignments.
  • Communicate any resource/technical assistance requirements to the appropriate IBAT College staff.
  • Maintains accurate records for reporting grades and student evaluations in accordance with college guidelines and accreditation/licensure body (if applicable); and meets required deadlines.
  • The trainers/lecturers are also expected to work collaboratively with the IBAT Academic Team and potentially with the University/Professional awarding bodies while facilitating student success and strengthening the reputation of the College through curriculum development, delivery and teaching/training excellence.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have practical and professional experience within relevant and respective Project Management areas pertinent to the programmes been taught.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with students and staff with varying diverse backgrounds and learning styles.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Applicants must be Project Management Professional (PMP)® certified.
  • Undergraduate Degree required, Advanced/Postgraduate Degree desirable.
  • Must have training/lecturing experience in either a corporate or classroom environment for variety of Project Management topics and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project desirable.

Supply Chain Management Lecturer


IBAT College currently has a vacancy for a lecturer to deliver on a short Diploma in Supply Chain Management.

The Diploma in Supply Chain Management is scheduled to commence on the 27th September Wednesday evening 6.15am – 9.30pm running over 11 weeks.

Course Outline:

The course has been designed to be of interest to participants who are looking for knowledge of the broad areas of supply chain management. It is also designed to be of interest to participants who wish to further develop their knowledge around the strategic management function and in particular how organisations can use the SCM concept to create and/or retain a competitive advantage.

Learning Topics:

  • The nature and scope of procurement and supply chain management
  • Defining the concept of purchasing
  • The concept of logistics, reverse logistics, supply chains and supply chain vulnerability
  • The value chain and its role in formulating business strategy
  • The impact that SCM has had on traditional purchasing management approaches and philosophies
  • Decision-making models
  • Global trade and supply chain management
  • The importance of global infrastructure to optimal SCM.


  • To be awarded the Diploma in Supply Chain Management participants will be required to successfully complete an assignment (100%). Students will design an “ideal” supply chain solution for an existing business and describe the benefits brought about by this new design.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate Degree required, Professional relevant Qualitifcation (PM or Operations) desirable.
  • Must have training/lecturing experience in either a classroom or corporate environme.

Quality Assurance Officer


As a key member of the Registrar’s Office, the Quality Assurance Officer supports the Registrar in the operational functions of the Registrar’s Office including, admissions, registration of students and examinations.   


  • Review admissions against entrance criteria.
  • Support the operation of the Admission and RPL Committee.
  • Utilise a range of IT systems, to ensure quality and partnership records are accurate and up to date, produce reports and provide an excellent information resource for all stakeholders.
  • Ensure students are properly registered on the student management system.
  • Register students with awarding bodies, and assist in the return of examinations/student related data to the College’s accreditation bodies.
  • Supporting the Registrar and School in all aspects of the examinations/assessment processes.
  • Assist the Registrar and School in the planning, co-ordination, scheduling and holding of examinations and assessments for the College.
  • Ensure that examination papers, scripts and administrative detail are available to examination centres in a timely manner.
  • Generate, maintain and provide reports related to the examination process.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the examinations section on the IBAT College Dublin Portal with information on examination policies and procedures, presentation of results and examination timetables. Support the external examiner process.
  • Assist in the recruitment, selection, training, scheduling and payment of for invigilators in accordance with the College’s approved policies.
  • Assist in the development of all QQI and other awarding body submissions.
  • Receive and collate paperwork for academic appeals etc.
  • Prepare standard operating procedures which support quality enhancement within the College, and propose developments to the College’s Quality Assurance Handbook.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the College’s processes and procedures by identifying opportunities for more effective working practices.
  • Support the design and delivery of appropriate staff development and training activities to ensure that the College’s Quality Culture is understood, implemented and promoted by all stakeholders.
  • Contribute to quality enhancement and attending various boards and committees as required.
  • At all times maintaining appropriate levels of confidentiality, working within the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
  • Supporting College wide events and activities e.g. Open Days and Graduation.
  • Undergo programmes of training and development as may be required from time to time
  • Represent the best interests of IBAT College Dublin at all times.
  • Perform such other duties as may be required from time to time.






A qualification equivalent to level 8 on the NFQ.

Experience of registry, admissions and/or examinations in a Higher Education environment.

  • At least two years administration experience that demonstrates a planned, systematic approach to organisation of work.

Experience in all three of registry, admissions and examinations in a Higher Education environment.

The above duties will inevitably change as the work of the College develops. The post-holder should therefore expect periodic variations to this job description. This job description may also be supplemented on a regular basis by individual objectives derived from College strategies.

The post may involve working outside the normal College hours and a willingness to work flexibly is expected.
