This month don’t miss the “Winter Walk from Sandymount to Poolbeg”.
As the Independent describes it: Visit Sandymount with its houses from various historical periods, not to mention its leafy streets too.
We’ll start off our walk from the entrance of the Wellington Quay campus main entrance, and then walk to our first location, Sandymount. There we’ll see the Sandymount strand, a long stretch of beach for a few kilometres, Martello Tower, a Napoleonic-era historic building, along with sculptures, churches and also places that James Joyce may have even described on the world famous “Ulysses”.
Remember, this event is likely to sell out pretty quickly, as this is very popular, so if you are interested, we advise you to book your ticket as soon as possible.
Please note:
If you are interested in attending this excursion or need to count you in on anything necessary, please contact us at studentactivities@ibat.ie for further details or questions on how to register, or sign up to our Eventbrite to participate.
