Why study Data Analytics?
A data analyst professional discovers how data can be used to answer questions and solve problems using technology. In the last two decades, the spread of the internet and interconnected devices has exponentially increased the amount of data we produce. Throughout this data analytics course, you’ll learn how to use data, analytics, statistics, probability, and basic data science using Python to give you an edge in your career. During your data analyst training, you’ll examine real-world data sets and translate them to meaningful insights as well as learn how to create dashboards and make predictions based on your findings.

- STAGE 1 – SQL & Databases
- STAGE 2 – Python Programming

Assessment
All assignments will be individual and consists of four tests and an ongoing project.
The tests will be conducted after each of the course’s four stages, each of the four tests will contribute 10% towards the overall grade.
The ongoing project will start at the beginning of the course and will contribute 60% towards the overall grade.

What is a Professional Diploma?
An IBAT Professional Diploma is a focused, short duration practical course that consolidates, upskills and/or reskills learners in a professional area. They are stand-alone qualifications that do not lead to an award on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ).

Prospective employers, therefore, include any company that requires a detailed, robust analysis of data sets; some examples include:

Entry Requirements
This programme is suited for individuals with a variety of different experience levels, and while there is no academic requirement for entry, a basic computer literacy and analytical thinking ability would be required.

A Digital Certificate will be issued upon successful completion of an in-class exam for each of the two modules, in addition, you will also receive a Digital Badge.
What is a Digital Badge?
A micro-credential is a compact credential that verifies the achievement of a skill or knowledge gained. A Digital Badge is a visual representation of having earned a micro-credential which can be shared on various online platforms to showcase the earner’s achievement.
Why have a Digital Badge?
Your Digital Badge and Certificate can be shared on social media channels such as LinkedIn and Facebook. Digital Badges can also be added to email signatures, displayed on resumes or added to recognised achievement platforms such as Badgr, Credly and OpenBadges.
